Creflo Dollar: Stay in Faith!

Stay in Faith! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Have you ever been faced with a situation that looked and seemed impossible? All of us will go through challenges and circumstances that test our faith to the utmost extent. The key to overcoming impossible situations is to stay in faith and refuse to move from your stand on the Word of God. Whatever you may be going through, there is a promise in the Bible that provides the answer. You simply must not waver when the enemy tries to distract your focus.

One of the keys to maintaining strong faith in the midst of afflictions and tough circumstances is to continually confess God’s Word. Confession of the Word not only releases the power of God into the situation, but it builds faith into your heart, which enables you to weather the storms of life. Man is a tri-part being—he is a spirit who possesses a soul, and lives in a physical body. The spirit of man is where faith resides and from which faith proceeds. When you confess God’s Word, you hear yourself saying the Scriptures and the faith of God is deposited in your spirit. The Word, when planted in your heart like seed in soil, will produce results.

Everything necessary for victory in life has been deposited in the born again spirit of a man. That means that when we face impossible situations we shouldn’t be waiting on God to do something; we should tap into the power that is already within us. Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Healing, deliverance, abundance, and prosperity in spirit, soul, and body are spiritual blessings that belong to us. When we make Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives, we obtain an inheritance of spiritual resources that are designed to equip us to dominate in the earth.

Getting a revelation of what already belongs to us is critical to being an overcomer in life. We even possess the spirit of might, which is the ability to do anything. The Word says that we have received the fullness of His power (John 1:16). Knowing this, we can no longer go through life defeated by what the enemy throws at us. Whether it is sickness and disease, poverty, lack, or emotional oppression, we have the victory.

Unleashing the power and faith of God requires consistently confessing God’s Word. This should be a regular part of every Christian’s life. Philemon 1:4-6 says that we should acknowledge every good thing that is within us. Essentially, this means we are to declare what we possess spiritually through our relationship with Jesus Christ. If we need healing, we should declare that the healing power of God is resident in our reborn spirits. If it is prosperity we need, we should confess that prosperity belongs to us according to the Word of God. To confess something means to acknowledge, or admit that it is true. When we confess the Word we are making a declaration that it is the final authority in our lives.

Confessing the Word is a key way to stay in faith, especially when the appearance of the situation looks bleak. Believers are to walk by faith, not by what they perceive with their five senses. The spiritual realm, what we possess in our spirits, and the Word of God are more real than anything we might see in the natural realm. If we refuse to come off the Word, we will see the end of our faith.

The primary attack every person faces when they are in a faith battle is the enemy attempting to use the things we perceive with our senses to move us from our stance on the Word. It is the time period between releasing our faith and seeing the actual manifestation that is where the biggest fight occurs. No matter what Satan does to try and distract you, don’t come off the Word. If you stay in faith and keep your mind focused on the Lord, He will bring you out with flying colors. Victory belongs to the person who refuses to let go of the Word.

Creflo Dollar: Aligning the Soul with the Reborn Spirit

Aligning the Soul with the Reborn Spirit - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Have you ever gone through a challenge such as a health issue, and while going through it, said: “Lord, touch my body so that I may be healed”? Or, perhaps you faced a financial challenge and called on the Lord to “touch” your finances so that you could experience prosperity. While these requests sound spiritual, they actually aren’t based on the Word of God. We must make sure that the things we pray and say are in line with the Scriptures so that we can get the results we are looking for. The truth is that everything we need to get manifestation in our lives is already available to us in our recreated spirits. We possess the very power of God within us. Our job is to align our souls with our spirits in order to draw out the resources we need for our specific situations.

Becoming born again is not just a free ticket to heaven, but it is much more. It is God’s will that we not only experience a future with Him in the kingdom of heaven after we die, but that we also experience heaven on earth as well. There are many Christians who are experiencing anything but heaven on earth; their lives are marked by the same failures and powerlessness of those who are not in a relationship with Jesus Christ. This simply shouldn’t be.

At the point of salvation, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the kingdom of God, and all of its benefits become a part of our recreated spirits. Therefore, we possess everything we need from the Father; it’s all in us! The reborn spirit believes the Word of God and is in agreement with its promises; however, the problem lies with the unrenewed soul (the mind, will, and emotions). While our spirits become born again when we accept Jesus, our souls do not. We must make a quality decision to renew our minds with the Word of God so that our thoughts, choices, and feelings are submitted to the Scriptures. Only when we get our souls in line with the Word of God can we withdraw spiritual power from our spirits. This is the power that changes and rearranges our circumstances to reflect the blessing instead of the curse.

Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” and 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” These two scriptures show us that the power of God, which contains healing, deliverance, prosperity, abundance, and everything else we could ever need, is resident in our spirits. We don’t have to beg and plead with God to do something for us because we possess the power to get results.

Getting our souls to come into agreement with our born-again spirits and the Word of God means making daily meditation on God’s Word a priority. Romans 12:1-2 says we are to be transformed by the renewing our minds so that we can prove what is the perfect will of God. We know that healing, deliverance, protection, and abundance are the will of God, so when we allow our thinking to be transformed by the Word, we can actually manifest these things in our lives. When we keep our spirits and souls aligned, our physical circumstances have no choice but to change.

There is no lack in your reborn spirit, which means everything you will ever need for success is in your possession. Faith in the Word of God, mind renewal, consistently confessing God’s promises, along with obeying what God tells you to do are the keys to unlocking the power of God’s kingdom in your life. You don’t have to wait another day for God to get involved in your situation; instead, focus on aligning your soul with your spirit, and you will begin to see your circumstances change.

Creflo Dollar: Knowing Your Identity

Knowing Your Identity - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Do you know who you are? I’m not talking about who you are because of your parents, your background, or your upbringing, but I mean, do you really know who you are in Christ? Most people know who they are in the natural realm as it relates to their family and upbringing, but when it comes to their true identity in Christ and what that entails, they don’t have a clue.

Often, people have a hard time identifying with God because they relate to their physical, natural identities and the things they can perceive with their senses more than they do with Him. God made us in His image, and when we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior, we become one with Him. This means that, from a spiritual perspective, we are just like Him! Knowing who we are in Christ is the catalyst for walking in the power of God and demonstrating that power to the world.

Because the knowledge of who we are in Christ is so vital to our confidence as sons of God, it is the area in which Satan will consistently attack us. In fact, he attacked Jesus in the area of identity when He was fasting in the wilderness for forty days and forty nights. Matthew 4:1-3 says, “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

When Satan tried to question Jesus’ identity in the wilderness, Jesus responded with the Word of God. He didn’t have to prove anything because He knew who He was! That is the same way we should respond to the devil when He comes to attack our identity in Christ. We should always remind Him of what God has said about us and about him. Jesus replied, “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God” (v. 7). When Satan realized that Jesus was not moved by His attack, and that He knew who He was, the Bible says he left Him alone.

Jesus wasn’t the first one Satan attacked in the area of identity. In the Garden of Eden, he also attacked Adam and Eve. He made a statement that suggested to them that they weren’t who God had made them to be. In Genesis 3:1-5, Satan deceived Eve into thinking that she wasn’t like God, which was the opposite of the truth. God had created Adam and Eve in His image, which meant that they already were like Him. They allowed the voice of the enemy to get them to doubt who they really were. As a result, they took the bait and fell into his trap.

By constantly looking into the mirror of God’s Word, we are able to maintain a consistent consciousness of our identity in Christ. The Word will tell us exactly who we are, what we look like from God’s perspective, and how we are to act as sons of God. It will also reveal to us any areas of our lives that may not line up with God’s Word.

God is a spiritual being, and He has made us in His image. When we become born again, we carry the very nature of God on the inside of us, which makes us little “gods” or smaller extensions of Himself (Psalm 82:1-8, AMP). Therefore, we should identify with the identity that God has given us. Philippians 2:5-9 shows us the attitude we should have as Believers:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Even though we possess the power of God on the inside of us, if we don’t embrace the same mind-set that Jesus had about His identity, for our own lives, we will never be confident enough to walk in that identity. From now on, begin to see yourself as Jesus saw Himself—a spiritual being who possessed the same ability as His Father. Renew your mind to who you really are and declare it every day. You will send the devil running in the opposite direction!
